About Me

After graduating from Cardiff University with a BA in Music, I joined the Women in Jazz Media team and began my journalism journey.

Since then I have written for various jazz (and other genre) magazines, and have collaborated with some incredible people. This includes being the official Women in Jazz journalist for Cheltenham Jazz Festival, XJAZZ! Berlin, the WIJM London Jazz Festival events and plenty of gigs and album launches. I have also become a member of the WIJO team (Women in Jazz Organisation, New York) and have moved over there for several months to help them organise various events. Alongside this, I have worked with multiple music charities and organisations to help make music more accessible for everyone. I have become very interested in the editorial process of music publications, working as Deputy Editor for the quarterly Women in Jazz Media magazine.

With the Cardiff University Jazz Society, I set up the university's first all-female and non-binary jazz group: 'Womxn's Group'. The group still continues to play together to this day, showing the importance of these safe spaces for young women in jazz.

This is simply a place to put my work and share my thoughts and opinions. Please contact me if you're looking for written material (articles, interviews, reviews, press releases ect.)
